Vervaet spreader holds 40cu m

A heavy-duty, 18cu m trailed tanker can be added Vervaet’s 22cu m Quad 550. This combination is called the Quad XL.An additional centrifugal pump is used for filling and emptying the tanker from the Quad. The Quad also feeds the applicator which is carried by the tanker’s hydraulic linkage. If the extra capacity is not needed the tanker can be unhitched and the applicator attached directly to the rear of the Quad.Additional macerator, pump, manifold and control systems can also be supplied to enable the trailed tanker to be used on its own.To enhance manoeuvrability, and ensure accurate tracking in tramlines, the tanker has an electronically controlled steering system. Four 800/70R38 tyres help reduce soil compaction. The applicator can be attached to the Quad with the trailer un-hitched.“We believe this to be the highest-capacity tanker outfit in the UK, but it’s also an extremely flexible setup,” explains Matt Carse, managing director of UK importer J Riley Beet Harvesters (UK). “The additional capacity means the machine can empty a lorry tanker completely with room to spare, or it can be brimmed to full capacity if a large nurse tank is being used.”The Quad XL was designed with the UK market in mind and two have been delivered to UK customers this spring, both were fitted with 36m Vogelsang SwingMax dribble bars.
