Stoll simplifies tractor loader operation
Stoll has developed a semi-automatic system that allows tractor drivers to program two positions of a front loader. Called Boom Kick Out, and available from November on the company’s ProfiLine tractor loaders, it allows operators to select a lower position when loading materials, and a maximum height for filling trailers or mixer wagons.
The company says it is as simple as it sounds. In operation, the tractor driver manoeuvres the loader into the correct position. A joystick is then used to select the configured program, after which the ‘teach in’ button is depressed. The loader is then automatically returned to the selected position each time it is lowered, with no further input from the tractor driver.
Claimed benefits include reduced working times, diesel consumption and wear and tear. Driver jolts are also eliminated because the loader slows gradually a bit like a lift.
The system, which comprises a Pro Control Joystick, controller, electro-hydraulic proportional valve and a rotation sensor, can also be combined with Stoll’s auto-level control (RTL).
